Tephroite is a manganese silicate member of the olivine group. The mineral name come from From the Greek for ash-colored (Breithaupt, 1832). This entire specimen consists of translucent crystalline tephroite, with a tight pocket hosting subhedral crystal to 1.4 cm. Well crystallized for these species!
