Walpurgite is a bismuth uranium arsenate mineral named after the Walpurgis ore vein at Schneeberg (Weisbach, 1873). Walpurgite forms blocky crystals to 1.5 mm on a heavy matrix of massive bismite. This specimen was part of the personal collection of Ralph Merrill, proprietor of the prolific mail order business Minerals Unlimited.
