Prehnite - Sold

Prehnite is a calcium aluminum silicate named after Colonel Hendrik von Prehn (1733-1785), who discovered the mineral (Hoffmann, 1789). This specimen features radial aggregrates of quite transparent prehnite to 1 cm forming a flat plate without matrix. Quite a nice example of Swiss prehnite! This specimen was part of the personal collection of Ralph Merrill, proprietor of the prolific mail order business Minerals Unlimited. Merrill's collection card and label also ship with the specimen.
