Bermanite - Sold

Bermanite is a hydrous manganese phosphate. Hurlbut (1936) named the mineral after Harry Berman (1902-1944), professor of mineralogy at Harvard University and co-author of Dana's System of Mineralogy (7th edition).

Bermanite forms red crusts on earlier jahnsite and leucophosphite. Rare from the locality. From the collection of E.R. Laskowski (1949-2020), a mining engineer who retired to Tucson, Arizona.
