Haydeeite

Haydeeite is a magnesium copper hydroxide chloride. The mineral is structurally related to paratacamite. Schlüter & Malcherek (2007) named the mineral after its type locality, the Haydee mine, which is the source of this specimen.

This specimen has a 16 × 7 mm coverage of blue-green haydeeite in crystals to 0.6 mm associated with fine-grained green atacamite. From the collection of E.R. Laskowski (1949-2020), a mining engineer who retired to Tucson, Arizona.
