Kasolite is a hydrous lead uranium silicate. Schoep (1921) named the mineral after Kasolo, site of the the type locality.
Kasolite forms yellow-orange crystals to 0.5 mm with platy metatorbernite crystals to 2 mm, all on fibrous malachite. The matrix consists of altered sulfides and massive malachite. From the collection of E.R. Laskowski (1949-2020), a mining engineer who retired to Tucson, Arizona.
