Sazykinaite-(Y) is a hydrous sodium yttrium zirconium silicate. The mineral is structurally related to hilairite. Khomyakov et al. (1993) named the mineral after Ludmila Sazykina (1934- ), Russian mineralogist and artist.
Sazykinaite-(Y) forms beige crystals to 1.5 mm on a matrix of green aegirine. Associated are pale orange spheres of rhabdophane-(Ce). From the type locality for sazykinaite-(Y). From the collection of E.R. Laskowski (1949-2020), a mining engineer who retired to Tucson, Arizona.
