Kalifersite

Kalifersite is a hydrous potassium iron silicate. Ferraris et al. (1998) named the mineral by combining the Latin names of its chemical components, kalium, ferrum, silicium for potassium, iron, and silicon, respectively.

Kalifersite forms a powdery mass, 9 mm across, in a matrix of lamprophyllite, aegirine, and eudialyte. From the collection of E.R. Laskowski (1949-2020), a mining engineer who retired to Tucson, Arizona.
