Brandtite is a calcium manganese arsenate, with the crystal structure of roselite. Nordenskiöld (1888) named the species in honor of Swedish chemist George Brandt (1694-1768).
Brandtite forms bladed crystals to 2.5 mm, grouped in rosettes. Classic locality. From the collection of E.R. Laskowski (1949-2020), a mining engineer who retired to Tucson, Arizona.
