Chlorbartonite is a potassium iron sulfide chloride. Yakovenchuk et al. (2003) named the mineral for its chlorine content and relationship with bartonite.
Chlorbartonite forms a broken metallic brown blade 5 mm, embedded in a cluster of yellow burbankite prisms to 7 mm. The matrix consists mostly of crystalline natrolite, with minor lamprophyllite, annite, etc. From the collection of E.R. Laskowski (1949-2020), a mining engineer who retired to Tucson, Arizona.
