Franckeite is a lead tin iron antimony sulfide. Stelzner (1893) named the mineral after brothers Carl (1832-1907) and Ernst Francke (1838-1913), both German mining engineers, who worked in Bolivia and provided the original material.
Franckeite forms bladed, foliated crystals in radiating groups with minor pyrite and zinkenite. From the collection of E.R. Laskowski (1949-2020), a mining engineer who retired to Tucson, Arizona.
