Hingganite-(Y) on Aegirine - Sold

Hingannite is a beryllium yttrium silicate hydroxide, and a member of the gadolinite-datolite group. Ding et al. (1984) named the mineral after the Hinggan Mountains of Inner Mongolia, wherein sits the type locality.

Hingganite forms green microcrystasl to 0.5 mm forming a 1.3 × 1.3 cm coverage on quartz crystals. The matrix consists of aegirine crystals with white microcline and a brown pyrochlore mineral. From the collection of E.R. Laskowski (1949-2020), a mining engineer who retired to Tucson, Arizona.
