Naujakasite is a sodium iron aluminum silicate. Bøggild (1933) named the mineral for its type locality at Naujakasik. This specimen consists of altered syenite matrix hosting cleavages of naujakasite to 1.5 × 1.5 cm.
From the collection of E.R. Laskowski (1949-2020), a mining engineer who retired to Tucson, Arizona. Laskowski acquired this specimen from Dakota Matrix in 2009; a University of Copenhagen label also accompanies the specimen.
