Sussexite - Sold

Sussexite is a manganese borate named for its original occurrence in Sussex County (New Jersey) at Franklin (Brush, 1868). This specimen comes from the genetically related but separate mine at Sterling Hill.

Sussexite here forms waxy pink masses with black franklinite and white calcite. Rich example. From the Charles Trantham (1936-2020) estate.
