Hauckite - Sold

Hauckite is a complex zinc manganese iron carbonate sulfate hydroxide. Dunn et al. (1980) named the mineral in honor of Richard Hauck, cofounder of the Sterling Hill Mining Museum.

Orange microcrystals of hauckite occur here in a matrix of fibrous white sussexite and massive black pyrochroite. A green Cureton Mineral Company label accompanies this specimen.
