Silver and Copper - Sold

One curiosity typical of the Michigan copper mines are specimens of native silver associated with native copper. While seen elsewhere worldwide, this combination is still rather rare and generally very limited. The mines of Keweenaw Peninsula produce such specimens in quantity, and locals have taken to calling such specimens "halfbreeds". Silver has formed two arborescent groups, 15 mm and 12 mm, on a matrix of hackly copper. Minor green epidote is present, and also typical of the district.
