Hambergite is a beryllium borate mineral. Brögger (1890) named the mineral in honor of Axel Hamberg (1863-1933), Swedish mineralogist who discovered the species. Hambergite crystals have orthorhombic symmetry and typically show cleavage in one or two directions.
This is a gem crystal of hambergite, showing one well developed termination, and is generally 75% complete. This is a complete crystal, twinned down its length. The crystal is a bit etched, with water clarity. Weighs 3.80 carat.
