Hodgkinsonite - Sold

Hodgkinsonite is a magnesium manganese silicate mineral. Palache & Schaller (1913) named the mineral after Harold H. Hodgkinson (1886-1947), who discovered the mineral.

Hogkinsonite here forms a compact crystalline vein in dense franklinite-willemite ore. There is an open pocket showing in the vein with gemmy hodgkinsonite crystals to 2 mm. Hodgkinsonite has a rich pink color, caused by its manganese content. Good example!
