Antlerite is a copper sulfate mineral, named for its type locality at the Antler mine, Arizona (Hillebrand, 1889). The mineral forms distorted orthorhombic crystals, here to 6 mm. The matrix is a pale contrasting, hydrothermally altered matrix. Antlerite crystals are rather rare globally, and the Chuquicamata mine produces some of the brightest crystals and richest crystallized specimens. Choice.
