Zeunerite - Sold

Zeunerite is the copper arsenate member of the autunite group. Wiesbach (1872) named the mineral in honor of Gustav Anton Zeuner (1828–1907), director of the Freiberg School of Mines. The mineral forms green pyramid crystals to 6 mm on this specimen. Quite large crystals for the locality.

This specimen was part of the personal collection of Ralph Merrill, proprietor of the prolific mail order business Minerals Unlimited. He obtained the piece in 1959. Merrill's collection card and label also ship with the specimen.
