Almeidaite (IMA 2013-020) - Sold

Almeidaite is a complex oxide mineral ralated to crichtonite. The mineral occurs in a hematite prospect from this well known mining area. Luis Menezes discovered the mineral and collaborated with Russian scientists to propose this mineral to the International Mineralogical Association. So far only a brief abstract has been published. This is well formed single tabular crystal, complete. The crystal has crazed surface, much like overbaked porcelain.
