The pegmatites of Mozambique produce wonderful tourmaline specimens, and great specimens of the tantalite group minerals. This is a twinned crystal, showing a rich red color. The crystal likely came from alluvial deposits, which explains the light surface scratching and battered edges. Despite the wear, this is a choice twin, of considerable size.
