Priceite is an unusual calcium borate mineral. The mineral typically forms crypto-crystalline masses, much like porcelain. Silliman (1873) named the mineral after Thomas Price (1837-?), who first analyzed the mineral. This is a typical compact mass, split open to reveal the porcelain like nature of the mineral.
