Paradamite with Adamite - Sold

Iron stained paradamite has formed crude crystals to 9 mm long with white adamite crystals to 10 mm long in a shallow depression in gossan matrix. Many of the adamite crystals are contacted; the adamite crystals probably spanned the entire pocket. This specimen has a sawn back; originally it had a significant amount of matrix. Curiously, this piece appeared in recently mined Ojuela material offered at the Tucson 2013 show. Michael Shannon handled the specimen, which went to an eBay dealer, and was ultimaetly acquired by Ron Pellar. The identification of paradamite and adamite are both confirmed by Raman spectroscopy. An unusual association piece showing two polymorohs together. Ex Ron Pellar collection.
