Brandtite is an arsenate of calcium and manganese, named by Nordenskiold (1888). The name honors George Brandt (1694-1768), Swedish chemist. Brandtite forms rosettes to 3 mm of colorless blades, contrasting with the altered manganese silicate skarn matrix. Quite attractive!
