Conichalcite - Sold

Olivenite is a calcium copper arsenate named for its lime color and calcium content (Breithaupt, 1849). The mines of Tintic are well known for their arsenate minerals, including this thick lime green mass of conichalcite. There are vugs of spherical growths, and a crust of olivenite on one side of the specimen. A rich and vibrantly colored example. The olivenite crystals reach 2 mm on this piece. From the Bob Trimingham collection, distributed at the Denver 2013 show.
