Willemite is a simple zinc silicate mineral named in honor of King Willem of the Netherlands. The mineral has rhombohedral symmetry, here forming thick six sided crystals to 9 mm long, jumbled into a solid mass. This material collected by Al McGuinness (mcguinnessite) and from the Bob Kaar mineral collection. A well crystallized example of a mineral known for its small and thin crystals.
