Bariopharmacosiderite - Sold
- Gold Chain mine
- Tintic
- Juab County
- Utah
- U.S.A.
- 5.5 by 5.1 by 3.6 cm – Small cabinet specimen (under 10 cm)
Originally named barium pharmacosiderite, Burke (2008) simplified the two word name to bariopharmacosiderite. This is an older specimen, carrying a Lazard Cahn label, which likes dates before WWII. This is a massive galena specimen with pockets lined with a fibrous mineral (likely arseniosiderite) and tiny reddish brown cubes of bariopharmacosiderite. Specimens from Tintic are much more difficult to obtain than other localities also in Utah. Nice historic specimen.
