Chambersite is a manganese borate originally described from Texas by Honea and Beck (1962). This is a perfect tetrahedral crystal, with a smokey purple color, measuring 6.5 mm on edge. A choice example without internal fracturing; leaving the color rich and intense. Occasionally faceters cut these crystals into exotic gemstones; this mineral has a Mohs hardness of 7.
