Arsendescloizite is a lead zinc arsenate originally described from the Tsumeb Corporation in Namibia by Keller and Dunn (1982). The mineral remains extremely rare from the type locality, known in only a handful of specimens. A second world occurrence in Mapimi found in the 1990s produced a limited quantity of specimens, including some cabinet sized coverages of rich green velvety coatings of the mineral. The green color liking stems from an impurity of copper; the yellow mineral present is mimetite.
