Fenaksite is a potassium sodium iron silicate, isostructural with litidionite. Dorfman et al. (1959) combined the chemical symbols of its constituents (i.e. Fe, Na, K, Si) to create the mineral name.
Fenaksite forms tan grains to 1.5 cm with delhayelite and lomonosovite in a matrix of aegirine of microcline. From the collection of E.R. Laskowski (1949-2020), a mining engineer who retired to Tucson, Arizona.
