Julgoldite-(Fe2+)is a hydrous calcium iron silicate, and a member of the pumpellyite group (Passaglia &: Gottardi, 1973). Moore (1971) originally named mineral in honot of Julian Royce Goldsmith (1918-1999), geochemist at the University of Chicago.
Julgoldite-(Fe2+) forms a velvety crust on basalt, with later prehnite and calcite. From the collection of E.R. Laskowski (1949-2020), a mining engineer who retired to Tucson, Arizona.
