Emeleusite is a sodium lithium iron silicate. Upton et al. (1978) named the species after C. Henry Emeleus (1930-2017), igneous petrologist at the University of Durham, England.
Emeleusite forms pink plates in a matrix of aegirine and albite. From the collection of E.R. Laskowski (1949-2020), a mining engineer who retired to Tucson, Arizona.
