Yuksporite

Yuksporite is a complex potassium calcium titanium silicate. Fersman (1923) named the mineral after Mount Yukspor, a co-type locality. An English translation of Fersman's paper appears later in the American Mineralogist. Krivochev et al. (2004) solved the crystal structure and revised its chemical formula.

Yuksporite forms the bulk of this specimen, associated with aegirine and microcline. From the collection of E.R. Laskowski (1949-2020), a mining engineer who retired to Tucson, Arizona.
