Hutchinsonite is a lead thallium arsenic sulfosalt (Moëlo et al., 2008). The mineral name honors Arthur Hutchinson (1866-1937), former professor of mineralogy at Cambridge (Solly, 1905). Hutchinsonite forms submetallic dark gray cystals to 5 mm with aggregates of greenish yellow orpiment. The matrix is quartz and pyrite.
