Stringhamite is a hydrous calcium copper silicate. Hindman (1976) named the species after Profesor Bronson F. Stringham (1907-1968), former mineralogy professor at the University of Utah. While the type locality in Utah, this locality in Arizona has been a more prolific producer of stringhamite specimens.
On this skarn matrix, orbicular aggregates of stringhamite to 2 mm across formed in association with fibrous white xonotlite. Rare.
