Quartz after Anhydrite - Sold

Quartz pseudomorphs after anhydrite are well known globally, often found in volcanic rocks. In Arizona, there was a significant find of these in 1993 (or 1994 as reported in Collecting Arizona published by Lithographie) by the Rose family. This specimen was a top miniature from the initial find. The Rose family has kept the exact locality secret, and upon revisiting the locality in the following years, has found at least one further major pocket. This original material has a more blocky crystal form, and a pinker color, than subsequent finds. Main crystal 18 by 10 mm. Special.
