This is fine botryoidal malachite specimen from Bisbee. The individual crystallites are transparent, allowing light to pass through some, and reflect off other crystallites below the surface. The overall effect is chatoyancy, which is important is such high quality specimens. Please note minro scuffing of botryoidal surface.
