Alamosite - Sold

Alamosite is a lead silicate mineral. The mineral name alludes to the type occurrence near Alamos, Sonora, Mexico (Palache & Merwin, 1909). Alamosite is a rather rare mineral globally. At Tsumeb, the mineral forms the largest crystals and finest crystals known. This specimen is an aggregate of subparallel crystals, showing a pearly basal cleavage across its surface. The mineral cleaves easily and most specimens in collections show this cleavage.
