Adamite - Sold

Adamite is a zinc arsenate mineral. Friedel & Daubrée (1866) named the species after Gilbert-Joseph Adam (1795-1881), French collector, whose collection was acquired by the École des Mines (Paris). Adamite occurs in zinc bearing deposits throughout the world, but often in small amounts. This is an unusual adamite specimen from Tsumeb, considering its rich golden color. This specimen is largely adamite mixed with a few grains of wulfenite. The adamite crystals reach 5 mm on this specimen. Former Uli Bahmann specimen.
