Livingstonite is a mercury antimony sulfide mineral. Barcena (1894) named the mineral after famous African traveler Mr. Livingstone. This is vein of intergrown livingstonite cleavages to 1 cm intergrown with native sulfur, formed in crystalline limetsone.
This specimen comes with an early Warner & Greiger label, as well as an older Spanish language label with a number matching that seen on the specimen.
