Bellingerite - Sold

Bellingerite is a copper iodate mineral, the fourth iodate discovered after salesite, lautarite, and dietzeite (Berman & Wolfe, 1940). The name honors Herman C. Bellinger (1867-1940), General Manager of the Chile Exploration Company, who provided the first specimens to Harvard University for study. Bellingerite here forms seafoam green crystals to 1 mm, in clusters and patches on brecciated matrix. Good example.
