Azurite - Sold

Azurite is a copper carbonate, named for its "azure" color. Bisbee is a world famous copper mining area, which began producing fine specimens in the late nineteenth century. A pinnacle of collectible Bisbee azurite are the "Bisbee roses". This is one fine, wet-looking azurite rose, complete all around. Please note that there is a broken crystal edge on one side of the piece, but it may be displayed form the other side to show no damage. While it may seem expensive for an azurite thumbnail, this piece does not disappoint!
