Legrandite - Sold

Legrandite is a hydrous zinc arsenate originally found elsewhere in Mexico (Drugman et al. 1932). Using material from Ojuela, Finney (1963) determined the space group symmetry and corrected the chemical formula. The crystal structure was solved independently and contemporarily at the University of Arizona (McClean et al. 1971) and at Moscow State University (Pushcharovskii et al. 1970).

Legrandite here forms a divergent crystal group. The specimen is free of matrix, and contacted towards the tapered end. A good legrandite for a reasonable price.
