Metatorbernite - Sold

Metatorbernite is a hydrated copper uranyl phosphate. This is a fine thumbnail example of transparent bladed crystals to 1.5 cm on edge forming a cluster free of matrix. There is micro-chipping on the crystal edges present. However, it would not detract from the specimen in a competitive display. From the Robert Chambers collection, who indicates he obtained the specimen in 1975. While Roberts' label designates the locality as the Shinkolobwe mine, it most likely comes from the nearby Musonoi mine.
