Povondraite - Sold

Povondraite is a rare tourmaline group mineral. The mineral name honors Dr. Pavel Povondra, specialist in tourmaline at the Karlovy University, Prague.(Grice et al. 1993). Henry et al. (2011) kept this specie name in the latest revision of tourmaline nomenclacture by the International Mineralogical Association. Povondraite here forms crystals to 3 mm as a recrystallized reaction rim on a piece of metasedimentary rock. This is rich and rare example of an exotic tourmaline species.
