Murdochite - Sold

Murdochite is a copper lead oxide chloride mineral. Fahey (1955) named the mineral in honor of Joseph Murdoch, former professor at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). Murdochite is one of a very limited number of Pb4+ minerals. This is a rich example, with jumbled aggregates of black microcrystals and associated fibrous blue aurichalcite. Not commonly available, these specimens date to the 1970s.
