Apachite - Sold

Apachite is a hydrated copper silicate, described by Cesbron & Williams (1978). The mineral name honors a Native American tribe from the region. To this day, the crystal structure remains unknown. Apachite here forms pale blue fuzzy spherules, microscopic in size.

This specimen appeared in the Arizona Mineral Treasures display at the 2012 Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. The specimen ships with a commemorative label.
