Rajite is a rare copper tellurite, discovered by geologist and mineral collector Robert A. Jenkins. Williams (1979) made an anagram of the initials of Mr. Jenkins, naming the mineral rajite in his honor. Here rajite forms green crystalline spots on volcanic rock. Some of the radiating aggregates appear pseudomorphous; perhaps the mineral formed by dehydration of another tellurite species.
