Ceruleite - Sold

Ceruleite is a rare hydrated copper aluminum arsenate. Dufet (1900) named the mineral after its cerulean blue color. Because of its very small grain size, and typical admixture with clay and other arsenates, its chemical composition renamed poorly understood until a study by Schmetzer et al. (1976). The mineral is quite rare on a global scale but at Emma Luisa, it is locally abundant. The mineral is a rare but prized lapidary material due to its unique cerulean blue color.
